If humans discover a group of reclusive animals who have evolved intelligence like ours shouldnt we kill them?

It'll become a left vs right issue. The right will want to kill them because it'll create a big flaw with their animals don't have souls so don't kill fetuses theory and the left will want ensure the safety of the primates because of their environmental ethics.
