Why does Disney portray nerds as the ones with braces and glasses, the cool people tall blondes...?

One see the same thing on telenovelas (everyone is tall and blond, except the servants, who are short and dark-haired). I doubt anyone who works for Disney is any more racist than anyone else, but there HAS a history of racism at Walt Disney Studios...
