How do I reassure this friend of mines?

Im a pretty reclusive individual:( I don't need to talk or be around my friends on a consistent basis. I could actually go a couple of months without talking to them and still consider them my bestfriends. But my friend hates this. Its a huge problem for her, but its just how I am....What should I do?
