Jobs for Reclusive People?

What kind of jobs are best for reclusive people? Particularly people without a degree or experience in computers, science...average working class folk. And jobs that are available in this economy; and I know that's a big order, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm considered a 'nice person'; but I know myself well enough to know I'm just not a people person and never have been. Living in a society with employment based on customer service and "Good People Skills"...I can't stand it and I don't do well in those jobs. People like me can't change this aspect of our character and personality any more than we can change the color of our eyes. Advice please?
