How is this excerpt from my story? It's sort of long, but I'm desperate...?

This is obviously heartfelt and very poetic, but it was very hard for me to read. Expression is great in writing, but good writing is created with the reader in mind, firstly. You should look up 'writing flow in fiction', 'wordiness', 'writing tense' because you have a ways to go with this.
